Billy Bremner is widely regarded as the greatest midfielder in Scottish football history. Born in Raploch, he became the inspirational captain of Leeds United during the club’s most successful period under manager Don Revie. Known for his leadership, determination and technical ability, Bremner captained Leeds to multiple major trophies, including the English First Division title and FA Cup. He also represented the Scotland national football team 54 times, playing at the 1974 World Cup. Bremner remains one of Stirling’s most celebrated sporting figures and a legend of British football.
