Alex Smith MBE is one of the most respected figures in Scottish football management. Although he enjoyed a successful playing career with clubs including Stenhousemuir and Stirling Albion, he became best known for his achievements as a manager. Smith led St Mirren to the Scottish Cup in 1987 and later steered Aberdeen to both the Scottish Cup and League Cup, in 1990 and 1989 respectively. Widely admired for his leadership and contribution to the game, he remains one of Scottish football’s most respected managers.
